Today is Star Wars Day — “May the Fourth be with you!”

Today, Star Wars fans across the galaxy will celebrate one of the most iconic and influential pop culture franchises of all time. Star Wars Day is celebrated on May the Fourth each year as a tribute to one of the most famous Star Wars quotes – “May the Force be with you.” It is hard to pinpoint exactly when the very first Star Wars Day celebration took place. The holiday was created by fans and its popularity grew with the rise of the internet and social media. The first organised public celebration took place in 2011, and the holiday was officially recognised by Lucasfilm in 2013.

To celebrate Star Wars Day, invite friends and family over for a Star Wars movie marathon!
